Eye makeup tips?

eye make up tips anyone?

i want to learn how to apply 3 shades of eye makeup. basically eyeshadow and how to crease and everything. tips on eyeliner, mascara, and brows are helpful too. i usually purchase my makeup from MAC but i've recently wanted to experiment with my makeup. the same shape everyday? i get tired of it.

and does anyone know how to make ur brows look fuller? instead of the skin showing? thank you in advance.Eye makeup tips?
I don't have all the answers for your questions, but i'll tell you a few of my tricks for eye makeup. I NEVER spend a million bucks on makeup (well, what i mean is i don't buy those really costly brands like MAC for example) but I usually stick to Walmart brands like L'Oreal, Maybelline, Physician's Formula and of course Covergirl - who usually has the prettiest eyeshadow combos...

As far as the colors that are safe for everyone, I would always stick with earth colors. I dunno what your hair color is, but i'd probably go with either red or most likely brown. So start out by applying your foundation and blending it in evenly. If I ever use blush, I usually use a bronzer because they can have really cool effects with your face. So choose one that is a little darker than your complexion, and put it on the apples of your cheeks and swipe about an inch slightly diagonally upward (but don't apply it too heavily or else it looks like someone beat you in the face!) You can also put a teeny weeny bit on your forhead and just a speck on your chin. Go easy on those areas! Then once you've got your skin down, you can move on to the eyes.

For your eyes, you want to start out by putting some skin toner all over the lids, and let it dry. (For some reason, it tends to help the eyeshadow stay longer, or maybe that's just what i think.) You want to get 3 different shades of eyeshadow. I like to go with shimmery stuff... you want to get a pretty light ivory shimmery shade, a medium/lightish shade that is quite a bit darker but not too too dark, and of course a sort of darkish shade. If you want a good example, then a 3 in 1 eyeshadow that I luuv is the Baked Collection in ';Baked Butter'; from Physicians Formula. That would be a good example to start off with, but you can use your own makeup colors and compare them to that. So anyways... applying...

You start off with the medium shade and sweep it over your eye lids... from the inner corner to the outer. Then, you take the lightest shimmery shade and apply it from about 3mm above the lid up to the brow. Make the light shimmer heaviest right before the brow, and keep it somewhat soft, but enough from 3mm above the lid till the heaviest point right near the brow. Then you want to take the darkest shade and apply it in that 3mm that has nothing. You also want to go a little over into the lightest shade area about 2.5 mm. That way, you can have the darkest of the dark in the 3mm above the eyelid, and the other 2.5mm is left for blending it into the lightest shade. (I hope all this is making sense!!!) But anyways, the key is to make sure that from 3 mm above the lid till the brow is nicely blended, so take some time to get it right so that you look kickass! :)

Ahhh... for my eyeliner tips. This is pretty much my only rule... DON'T APPLY TOO DAMN THICK ALL AROUND... hence, you'll get the ';racoon'; look that makes you look ugly with big black rings around your eyes. And if you're going to do the little ';wings'; at the edge of your eye, don't make them to the point that they ';fly away';!!! ...But generally speaking, if you put the eyeliner on right on the top lid, you don't even need it for the bottom. So this is what I do... I pretty much always use liquid liner... so if you're not too good with it, you might want to practice before putting on the eyeshadow. *If you are practicing without the eyeshadow, you can easily fix up with a wet q-tip... just wet it and smoosh it so you can pin point the screwups.* Anyways, this is how I put on my eyeliner for the sexiest ';Angelina'; eyes... You want to apply it thinnest near the corner of the eyes, and when you get about 3/4 of the way (a little further than the highest point of your eyeball) you should thicken up a bit and take the line straight, slanting down just a teeny weeny bit, but not much at all, and take the line out a little bit past the lid so that you get a little longer looking eyes. (have a look at some of Angelina Jolie's pics wear she sports the ';classy'; makeup look) The skinniest part of the eyeliner will be about 1mm wide, while the thickest near the edge will be about 2.75 mm wide. Just good luck and keep trying with the whole eyeliner thing, and i'm sure you'll master it pretty quickly! Put your mascara on nicely, not to thick (clummmmps!) but not too thin. As far as the bottom lids go and lining them, i don't really worry about doing that. If you do, you can either put mascara on them (just lightly) or else you can take the darkest eyeshadow shade and do a thinnish line about a third of the way from the outter corner of your eye. But if you're in a drama mood, line the inner rims of your bottom lids... but just remember, it wears away pretty quick, so you'll have to reapply quite a lot. And I usually try not to do that because pretty much no matter what eyeliner you use, if you put it too close to the corner of the eye (this goes for top and bottom of the lid) there always tends to be a little goop buildup in the corner! And it's not too hot either, so make sure you check your eyes every once in a while and get rid of it!!!

I'm not really one to go with lipstick, so if you MUST wear anything, i stick with a clear or sheer gloss. But that's only on special rare occasions. I think of lipsticks as something that older women use rather than eyemakeup (which is mostly true coz your eyes start to droop when you get older and don't look so hot with all the eyeliner on) so save it for when you're a lot older.

And lastly, for your eyebrows... well, it helps to have really nicely groomed eyebrows, because eyebrows is the main thing that accentuates your eyes. If your eyebrows look scary, then it's not going to help you create the ';perfect'; eyeshadow look. And you don't want to have thin thin eyebrows... it just looks funky. And you don't wanna have the pencil eyebrows either. Well, I don't know much about getting ';fuller'; eyebrows, but my best advice would be to use a eyeshadow or blush or just whatever, in a NON SHIMMER - matte color tone that is a little lighter than your eyebrow color and dust it in your whole eyebrow, and the parts where the skin is showing. But anyways, goodluck with all and I hope this helps you somehow. But then again, I don't know how fair your skin is, I don't know how your eyelids look (if they are big, small, or if you have eyelids), I don't know if your eyes are wideset or close... and all this other stuff. So just take some time, and mix and match. Have fun. And as long as you stick to the right shading - light near the brow, medium on the lid, and darkest near the crease - and if you pick closely related colors, you can't go wrong! Take care!

P.S. DAMN - i didn't realise that I spent an hour pretty much writing a book!

brows are often filled in with an eyeshadow the same colour or a brow pencil.

apply a shimmery white shade under neath your brow then take two colours for example gold and brown. put the gold all over your eye socket then apply the brown at the corner shading up towards the crease..

liquid liner looks great on the top of the lid close one eye stretch it out and get the lines as closest to the edge as possible.

mascara concerntrate mainly on the tips to get them to curl lancome or benefit have great mascaras
first put some liquid liner on your eyelids, then apply nude eyeshadow and blend it in with the liquid liner. then apply eyeliner on your lower lash line. so pretty.
