The trick is to actually blend well. Contrasting colors or colors that are within a few shades of each other look really nice as long as you blend well. I find using brushes instead of sponge applicators are better and picks up more color too. Also, they're easier to clean. If your looking for a natural look, any color that is light mixed with white in the inner part of your eyelid looks nice and makes it pop. For smokey eyes, try using dark shades instead of black..maybe dark purple and gray. For just a dramatic look, use a light and dark color together, dark on the outer corner of your eyes, and lighter one on the inner corners.

They talk a lot about MAC but you can use the same techniques with any brand of makeup.
I absolutely love all the Loreal HIP makeup. I usually line my outer lid with the darker color, then put the brighter lighter color on the rest of my lid. The colors are awesome. My favorite is the two purples.
it really depends on what color your eyes are.... for instance- blue eyes stand out more with browns/neutrals. go to makeup isle and find the L';Orele display and they have charts according to eye color. Also, take in consideration your skin tone.

It's hard to say what colors will look good on your eyes without knowing what color they are...





I use this color system for my eyes, I think it's by Almay. The set comes with three colors that look good on my eyes, and it tells you how to apply them to make your eyes stick out. I also use the Mascara and eyeliner to go with it.





But if you accent the eyes, you will want to wear something VERY simple on the lips, otherwise you will get the clown look.
Don't go heavy on the eye makeup.


Make it look natural.


Girls (and guys) who wear a lot of eyeliner look tacky.


Eyeliner is made to make your lashes look thick.


So don't go all big on it, :D


And I wouldn't worry about it too much.


Eye shadow's definitely a plus, wear beige,


cream, pink, light blue. But wear it light.


And don't try to match it with your clothes.

also, i like to put eyeliner pencil on over liquid...it all stays on longer if that's what you're looking for.
