I'm an Asian too, and I was (up till recently) totally asking the same question too!!
You can look it up on Google; be specific. Ex: monolid, double lid, eyeliner, eyeshadow, etc. Be sure to include the word ';asian';, ';asian-style eyes';, or something like that.
You can also go on asiams.net. It's really good for beauty advice for Asians.
I found this eye makeup technique thats I just LOVE!!
I have a creased eyelid (double lid) so I don't know if this would work on monolids, but that's only because I don't have one.
But there's a lot of good make up techniques for people with monolids too, and they look REALLY good!! Just look up ';asian monolid eye makeup technique'; or something similar on Google.
So the technique is this:
1. Use a coffee-colored (brown) eyeshadow and brush it onto the end of your eyelid. (If you have a double lid, then brush it onto the creased part of your eyelid.)
2. Use brown eyeliner and lightly line the top part where the eyeshadow ends. (If you have a double lid, apply the eyeliner on the crease.)
3. Use a light brown (or maybe cinnamon peach-ish) eyeshadow and brush it over the remaining top part of your eyelid. (If you have a double lid, then brush it over the area above the crease.)
All of the makeup should be applied pretty light.
You can probably also try this with other colors.
Sorry, I know I'm pretty bad at explaining, but I hope this helped!
if you get a white eyeliner then another colour of your choice maybe a colour that you always wear but not too much of a dark colour. and put the white eyeliner across the top of your eyelid and then get the other colour of your choice and put it on the cornor of you eyes so on the top and bottom bits of your eyelids, it goes in a quarter of the way and it makes alot of diffrence but quite natrual and then put mascara on. also you do not need to buy some expensive eyeliners anything will do!
1. Try to use shadow all over your eyelid, AND up to your eyebrow. This will make your eye area stand out and appear bigger
2. Use an eyelash curler and mascara. It' simple, but it can really help open up your eyes.
3. Keep lips simple. This will draw all the attention to your eyes.
4. Don't use black liner, instead, use brown. This will make your eye look more natural, while still standing out.
5. Be bold! Don't be afraid to use bright colors on your eyelids!
Good luck - hope this helps!

I actually wrote a blog for Prevention Magazine about eye makeup tips if you have smaller eyes. The tip is to wear a light shade on your eyelids and a darker shade in the crease. Feel free to check out my article for a list of brands and tips, etc.
